… In the spirit of celebration, our kirtan band, the Rati Bhava, will support the voice of our lead kirtan singer, Valerie Rushmere, with many instruments, including shruti box, guitar, Native American flute, tenor saxophone, didgeridoo, frame drum, doumbek and mridanga. This group was started to provide a place for acoustic instrument musicians of all playing levels to meet, jam, collaborate and have fun playing with others. The hope is to have a convenient location and time for regular biweekly jams. Another goal is to find a venue to host a regular open-mic.
